Hospitalists have been a successful addition to the medical armamentarium to the point where patient acceptance and doctor lifestyle impact are overwhelmingly supportive of these programs.

The successes of hospitalist programs can be compared to the failure of "micromanagement" in the same context.

Pain? - go to InteliHealth's for "The Seven Therapies Of A Pain Doctor"

For Back Pain

For Achilles tendonitis,
remember to do gentle and progressive stretching.

Joints: To be safe, when you have troubling, unusual or persistent joint pain see a doctor or physical therapist. They may recommend for non-swollen or inflamed joints, stopping the movements that may have caused or aggravated the problem for a while, ice, and anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen (over the counter) or prescription meds that are often the same ingredient in higher dose or taken less times per day), then range of motion exercises and muscle strengthening. Don't forget to ask a professional what may have caused this pain in the first place, for example, knee pain can come from new or changed footwear, exercise habits or activities.

Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP)
Afflicts approximately4 million adults/year, of which
600,000 are hospitalized.

As "It is generally felt that a large number of these hospitalizations can be avoided with adequate risk assessment," for educational purposes, only, here is the "Community Acquired Pneumonia CAP Prognostic Calculator (using Fine's Prediction Criteria)": CAP Prognostic Calculator
